Summit is a small congregation of around 80 members, 25 of whom attend the Sunday service. While many members are older, there are some young families. People wear what's comfortable for them. There is plenty of parking and the main entrance is the one with the canopy (where you may drop people off in bad weather or if they need assistance). Someone will greet you at the door. The worship space is to the right, and the restrooms are to the left. Visitors are always welcomed warmly. You are invited to contact us if you'd like more information before attending for a first time. Email the church with any questions or comments. E-Mail: click here to send us a message |

& Resurrection Life by: Sarah Welbes "The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances.” —Robert Flatt Good morning, Today is a great day to reflect. Good Friday, what does it mean to you and to be a Christian? For me, it is a somber day, a day to reflect, a day to mourn, a day to be humble. However, it is also a day to remind me that no matter how hard life gets, it could always be worse. If I wake up and I am breathing, God is not done with me yet. It is my duty while I am here on earth to make the most of every day, be a beacon of God's love and remember, we live for him, and he lives in us. Good Friday, had to happen, in order for Easter, the day of resurrection to follow. This is a great reminder for me, when in the darkness, and life seems hopeless, it is in the darkness I receive life's most precious blessings and lessons. Sometimes it is for me, but as I get older, I am realizing it is to help others. Through the hardships in my life, moments when I questioned my purpose and thought why me? I now see why. I run into many people, everyone having a different story, my toughest days have given me empathy, keep me humble knowing life can change in the blink of an eye. Taught me patience, but above all, it is a way to connect to people. I love helping who ever I can. So, even in my darkest days, because of God I can find light. I hope you all find blessings within your darkest hours, and may you be able to celebrate the meaning of Easter. Love, Sarah (About the author: Sarah is a member of this church and in her everyday life, she is a Volunteer Coordinator. Every Friday she sends out a message to those who volunteer where she works. This was her message to them on Good Friday. She felt God's presence with her as she wrote it and decided she was supposed to share the message beyond the volunteers. When I saw the message, I asked for her permission to post it. I pray her message inspires you as much as it has inspired me.) |
